The National Account Directors at Hologic are responsible for strategically identifying new business opportunities within the top 100 IDNs and working with various Group Purchasing Organizations in many capacities to ensure internal stakeholders have the ability to work contractually within the IDNs for which the National Account Director is responsible. The ideal candidate would have strong consultative selling experience combined with closing skills, as well as presentation skills. One should be able to bring inspired ideas on how to work across multi-divisions internally to bring creative solutions to our existing and prospective customer base. It is imperative to bring a deep understanding of the competitive landscape through his / her multiple years of experience working with IDNs. The candidate should have the ability to analyze market data to derive a plan which would enable the director to sell client value propositions to executives, material directors, and to other stakeholders within the acute and non-acute facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities - Manage sales and marketing activities for targeted national accounts utilizing field sales personnel.
- Grows sales in target healthcare systems.
- Forecasts quarterly and monthly sales targets
- Develops relationships with targeted Key Opinion Leaders. Assist with advocacy in national and regional society groups
- Works with sales teams to promote product demand and facilitates information exchange
- Develops and implements training programs for national accounts' sales force on product promotions
- Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product
- Recommends sites for marketing research and development work
- Coordinates the implementation of sales strategies with the national laboratories through Hologic Sales and Marketing departments
- Responds and manages requests for surgical contracts from National and Regional Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) and Integrated Healthcare Networks (HN)
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
- Capital equipment sales experience preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organization skills
Education Experience - Minimum of five to seven years of experience in medical sales
Additional Details - Since this position requires you to drive extensively during the work day, a valid driving license and a driving record satisfactory to the Company, as well as a serviceable vehicle available for work use is mandatory.
