Job Description ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
BUSINESS: CIRCOR PUMPING TECHNOLOGIES
LOCATION: MONROE NC
DIRECT REPORTING: SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS
FUNCTIONAL REPORTING: OPERATIONS
POSITION DETAILS Position Summary The position would be responsible for the coordination of environmental, safety, health, and security & environmental within Fluid Handling Global Operations. This would involve direct interaction and collaboration with site and business leaders as well as FH executives.
Principal Activities
Lead and continuously improve the Global EHS initiative to develop standardized programs, procedures and expectations at all FH operating sites worldwide understanding global EHS legal requirements and incorporating EHS best practices from across the company.
While working with the Global FH leadership team support and encourage the direction of zero tolerance for injuries.
- Oversee property inspection process and serve as liaison with property insurer.
- Continuous efforts to communicate grow and improve the FH EHS management system.
- Ensure that CFH leadership maintains a high level of professional integrity with regards to EHS topics and management.
- Direct, lead and motivate the Global team with regards to EHS initiatives, strategic planning and development.
- Strive to cultivate a culture where EHS is led by senior management, implemented by each level of leadership, with each level accountable to the one above and responsible for the one below
- Support Operations in the goal to achieve and maintain an injury & incident free work environment. No job or activity is worth risking injury. With the correct processes and training all injuries, illnesses and environmental incidents are preventable.
- Provide the framework and resources where all employees are provided the necessary training and tools to work safely.
- Provide the support and leadership where all employees are empowered to recognize and stop unsafe activity.
- Strive to continuously integrate EHS into existing operations and business systems.
Job Requirements CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- 15+ years in various manufacturing environments with a minimum of 4-5 years working at regional and global levels.
- Must have a sound knowledge of Global environmental, safety & health regulatory and statutory requirements. This would include historical development, current enforceable rules and pending legislation.
- Must have experience and working knowledge of modern EHS management systems and their development process within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience and skills in change management and conflict resolution. Capable of multi-level communications from shop floor personnel to executive management within an organization. Delivery and presentation tailored according to environment and audience.
- Sound relationship management skills, confident at operating & influencing at a senior level.
- Must have a sound grasp of the spoken and written word. Must speak well in a group / meeting setting, be comfortable speaking in large groups and have the skills to prepare professional presentations to communicate and garnish support within the organization.
- Understands Business issues and associated EHS implications. Ability to work to tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment.
Education & Experience - 4-year degree from an accredited institution required. (preferably in a related discipline)
