Job Title Director - Sourcing & Supplier Management Americas Region
Overview: Regional Sourcing and Supplier Management Lead will be responsible for overseeing the end to end sourcing and supplier management operations within an assigned region. Employees within this role should provide leadership to regional sourcing managers for all sourcing related operations within their region.
Role Leads a team of Regional Sourcing and Supplier Managers and provides needed support to the Global Category Management teams within the assigned region
Ensures best practices and consistent category management strategies, strategic sourcing and contracting processes are followed within assigned region
Responsible for developing and implementing regional supplier management strategy in coordination with other regional leads and global category management team
Leads / supports category management, sourcing and contracting processes based on the category collaboration models for assigned Level 1 category based on specific category collaboration model
Manages regional specific sourcing events, conducts negotiation and manages regional specific contracts
Implements and optimizes negotiation strategies and secures profitable deals within specific region
Manages supply portfolio within assigned regional to ensure consistent supplier performance and drive supplier development
Researches and anticipates shifts in the negotiating power of supplier, and understands the appropriate times to involve business owners/supplier relationship owners
Estimates risks and applies risk minimizing techniques on an ongoing basis; be open to changes within sourcing processes as recommended by the business
Discovers and partners with trustworthy suppliers; consistently works towards the development of new supplier relationships, cultivating existing relationships
All About You
Experience with strategic goal setting and management of a team consisting of regional sourcing and supplier management resources with collective responsibilities of delivering savings target of $X (To be determined by Master Sourcing leadership team)
Experience in managing sourcing and supplier management across multiple business units, reducing costs and risks while improving value and efficiencies within assigned region
Experience in interacting and communicating with executives to provide updates and recommendations on regional sourcing and supplier management
Experience in developing and delivering regional sourcing and supplier management performance targets and KPIs
Experience in providing regular feedback to team members and resolving performance issues
Ability to deal with ambiguity and a demonstrated track record of performance with creative problem solving skills
Demonstrated consistent success working with partners across other business units in support of cross-functional programs
In-depth understanding of Mastercard products and services
Strong project management and leadership skills
