Job Description Title: Director of Flight Operations (DFO) liance Field
Reports to: Vice President Adversary Center of Excellence (ACE)
Status: Exempt
Summary: The Director of Flight Operations at ATAC oversees all flight revenue-generating activities for the company. Required to coordinate with regional Directors of Operations and liaise with the Director of Maintenance regarding operations encompassing manning, policy, procedure, training, line maintenance, customer interface and support of flying activities in all theaters of performance.
SCOPE:
The Director of Flight Operations (DFO) will coordinate with the regional Directors of Operations (DO) for operations and support of customer requirements in the DOesignated Area of Responsibility (AOR). DFO will ensure adequate pilot manning is maintained in support of all flying activities. The DFO will interface with the functional leaders at headquarters ACE and will report to the Vice President ACE.
RESPONSIBILITIES: · Responsible to oversee all flying activities within designated AORs
· Responsible to collect, QA and submit all hours and detachment reports
· Monitor utilization of detachment personnel
· Ensure Adherence to the Flight Operations Manual (FOM) and the Ground Operating Procedures (GOP) of all personnel, and report any issues to DOChief Pilot, and Vice President ACE
· Liaise with Region Scheduling Authority as required
· Liaise with all Host Base Commands as required
· Direct the Training Officer, Chief of Standardization, Scheduling Officer and coordinate with the Chief Pilots, Safety Manager and all DO class="new_p"> · Oversight of all pilot training within designated AORs
· Coordinate and QA required DO submissions
· Review After Action reports for each detachment and provide guidance
· Liaison with additional regional DFOs and Chief Pilots for oversight of all revisions and changes to flight related policy and procedures (FOMs, related GOPs, aircraft Flight Manual and Pilot Checklists)
Business Development:
· Liaise with Business Development with regard to new business
Qualifications Experience Required: · Minimum of 2 years as Operational pilot in support of Commercial Air Service
· 20 years of prior Military Fighter Experience
· 5 years prior Supervisory/Management experience
· BS/BA Degree required
· Post command experience desired
