Business Unit Description:
Our Risk Management teams work to protect the safety and soundness of our systems and are responsible for identifying, managing, measuring and mitigating a spectrum of key risk types including credit, market, liquidity, systemic, operational and technology in all existing and new products, activities, processes and systems.
Operational Risk Management Departments oversee the ORM program, including:
Maintaining and enhancing DTCC's operational risk management framework.
Assess the scope and quality of internal controls, and monitor and escalate key matters
Formulating, disseminating and administering operational risk management policy and procedures
Position Summary: The incumbent has primary responsibility for ORM coverage of one or more business areas. The incumbent will execute and oversee day-to-day operational risk management activities (such as risk and controls assessments, incident capture and analysis, and scenario analysis and planning), manage deadlines and stakeholder expectations, and lead or participate in projects within his or her assigned areas of responsibility. In carrying these responsibilities, the incumbent must work collaboratively with the ORM team, other risk & control functions, as well as with business line management. The incumbent will support reporting and presentations to senior management, the Board Risk Committee, and Regulatory Supervisors.
Specific Responsibilities: Proactively lead and support efforts to identify and mitigate risk, within assigned area(s) of responsibility
Develop and strengthen relationships with business partners and risk control functions
Develop, communicate and ensure adherence to department risk policies, procedures and best practices;
Reassess existing processes and create new ones that most effectively anticipate, manage and reduce risk to DTCC and its participants;
Foster an environment of regulatory awareness and ensure regulatory compliance;
Support DTCC's core risk management corporate initiatives, including but not limited to: New Initiatives Process (NIC), Management Self Identification of Issues (MSIs), Management Control and Awareness Rating (MCAR), Operational Risk Profiles, etc.
Preparing and providing standard and recurring Operational Risk deliverables such as Business Unit Operational Risk Profiles, Operational Risk Incident Summaries and results of scenario analysis
Support aspects of the department framework, including monthly and quarterly management reporting, Operational Risk Capital Adequacy, development and analysis of enterprise risk scenarios, end to end process analysis and risk reduction initiatives
Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Qualifications: 5 years experience as a senior risk and control professional within the financial services industry, or equivalent
Bachelor's degree or Masters or certification a plus
