You will develop US Payer Insight and Value Propositions that will support GSK's strategic objective to Deliver More Products of Value. This person leads the US Market Access Team (MAT) in their understanding of the payer environment, identifying gaps in knowledge specific to the asset, and establishing deliverables to influence the payer value proposition. The payer's perspective of a) the unmet medical need within a disease category, b) the clinical advantage of the medicine that will include identifying the value drivers and differentiators from current and future Standard of Care (SoC), c)payer assumptions into the forecast that are based on the most likely outcome and d) the value that the medicine can deliver along with identifying the risks, challenges, obstacles to the future access and reimbursement of assets that ultimately determines whether patients can access our medicines.
You will also support US Payer Markets leadership in identifying, analyzing, prioritizing and communicating potential misalignments in the development plan and the overall payer needs differentiating the asset from current/future SoC. This role requires the Therapy Director to remain current on emerging trends within the US Payer environment that would include but not limited to; reading syndicated reports, initiating payer research, attending payer-related conferences as appropriate and gaining insight from internal payer ad boards.

Why You?Basic qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 7 years relevant experience.
Experience in Oncology market access strategies to optimize payer value, for investigational oncology agents in development
Preferred qualifications: - MBA
- Expertise in payer markets including understanding of all channels and segments
- Understanding of environmental/policy issues and trends that may influence access or performance
- Proficiency using data analysis tools and analytics
- Ability to translate health outcomes data and analyses into actionable payer strategies
- Understanding of marketing discipline
- Understanding of basic finance and forecasting principles
- Understanding of drug development process
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across the matrix
- Demonstrated ability to develop compelling payer value propositions
- Proven communication (written & verbal), interpersonal influencing skills and prioritization skills
- Experience in Account Management
- Experience in Brand Payer Marketing
- Experience in Global Product Strategy or Global Health Outcomes
- Understanding of pharmaceutical pricing.
