Job Description ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
BUSINESS: CIRCOR PUMPING TECHNOLOGIES
LOCATION: MONROE NC
DIRECT REPORTING: VICE PRESIDENT GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN
FUNCTIONAL REPORTING: MATERIALS/PLANNING
POSITION DETAILS Position Summary This position will manage demand forecast and inventories across multiple Operations in the Americas. The Director of Production Planning Americas will be responsible for collaborating with project management, customer service, operations, logistics and senior leadership to ensure that inventory and revenue targets are met. This position will also be responsible for aligning sourcing, production planning and inventory strategies to SIOP. This position requires a change agent with a proven track record in high-mix, low-volume industrial manufacturing environments. This position will manage continuous improvement using lean principles to exceed customer satisfaction targets and corporate metric and will ensure that end-to-end business practices are aligned with system applications to provide world class execution of SIOP and inventory plans. The position will have 4-6 Direct reports.
Job Requirements CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Provide leadership to collaboratively develop and drive vision/strategy of a full and complete SIOP process and execute implementation while energizing the organization.
- Improve, process ownership for weekly Production SIOP business reviews; lead and facilitate demand/supply monthly reviews for each business unit in around the World.
- Collaborate with finance, to prepare recommendations to the VP of Global Supply Chain and SVP of Operations prior to Executive SIOP meeting.
- Work with cross functional partners to drive and facilitate demand/supply chain actions required to address imbalances and business opportunities /issues identified through the demand planning and master scheduling process.
- Meet or exceed inventory investments commitments to the organization to ensure a balanced approach.
- Structure the inventory management function to achieve the organizationision and strategy: define individual roles, responsibilities and accountabilities.
- Develop, mentor and upgrade production planning organizations to schedule orders to a work cell and machine capacity level.
- Work with the plants to implement aggressive Inventory control regimes
- Lead Supply Chain Inventory Planning process for the Business Units from a tactical and strategic standpoint.
- Ensure the strategic plans of the SIOP plan are implemented tactically at the plants to meet all KPI/li>
- Develop a continuously improve system (demand solution) for demand and inventory analysis which provides statistical models of forward looking demand requirements and operational capabilities.
- Actively participate in ERP integrations. Provide MRP leadership to plant supply chain teams. Ensure the processes are documented and follow MRP best practices.
- Constantly be looking to identify areas of improvement pertaining to all facets of supply chain and operations and collaborate with finance, sales and project management to shorten lead times and minimize inventory risk while at the same time levelling volumes across critical work centers.
- Develop, maintain and analyses output forecasting, load and backlog analysis consistent with sales orders forecast and manufacturing capabilities.
Education & Experience - Bacheloregree, MBA prefer
- Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in production planning, sourcing and logistics
- Demonstrate abilities to perform in a metric driven environment
- Proven track record as a change agent
- Experience with lean principles
- Must understand capacities issues in an ineered to Ordervironment
- Must be a strong influencer, driven solely by data and facts.
- A good understanding of ERP systems (preferably IFS & SAP).
- Must have a valid passport; travel both international and domestic, up to 25%
