This Associate Director reports to the USML for the CMV/ Anti-fungal & Clostridium difficile products within the Hospital Acute Care Franchise, a key growth area for Merck. The position has primary responsibility and accountability for the Brand Management of our CDIFF portfolio (DIFICID & ZINPLAVA) focusing on strategic marketing plans HCP Campaign Development, Field Execution Tracking of IDSA guidelines, and competitive market products and strategy. This role will also have broad responsibility to be involved in Innovative Market Partnerships around CDIFF with top customers.
This role will have broad brand marketing responsibility with ability to have key interactions with Field sales, Managed Care Marketing, and contracting decisions.
Dificid / ZINPLVA
- Lead foundational research, patient journey mapping and product positioning, and shaping of our go to market strategy to ensure we have a patient and customer centric approach to our future product planning.
- Evolve the customer analytics we have to inform decisions
- Provide brand strategy support to upcoming innovative partnership pilots with top customers to explore how to reach CDIFF patients and develop innovative new tools in the CDIFF market
- Enhancement of our digital capabilities to become more efficient in our promotional execution
- Lead a patient focused consumer pilot to reach and activate CDIFF patients
- Brand strategy point for Sub-acute account (SAE), Hospital team, and market research to support brand strategy evolution
Qualifications Education: Required:
- Minimum of 5 years combined marketing, sales, or sales/marketing support function experience required
- Strong understanding of foundational market strategy
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Strong project management skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Strong and demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrates high degree of integrity and ethics
Preferred:
- MBA degree preferred
- Experience in hospital segment, infectious disease arena desired
