Position Summary: Based out of the Gallagher corporate office, the Director, Content Strategy is responsible for developing a content strategy based on a Gallagherusiness objectives and client needs. This role will oversee content requirements and create content strategy deliverables across channels.
Primary Responsibilities: · Develop and guide the marketing content strategy for Gallagher.
· Define corporate marketing writing style guidelines across customer audiences and channels.
· Partner with corporate marketing and division marketing leads to understand local content strategies and provide a transparent view into plans and activities globally.
· Create and maintain editorial calendar for digital properties (websites/social/email) and printed materials, including white papers.
· Work with divisions to understand thought leadership content and assess the digital impacts to supporting that content.
· Create and implement a content archiving policy/process to ensure content remains relevant
· Conduct content audits (qualitative analyses of all the content on a network of sites and social media accounts) as well as gap analyses.
· Coordinate with content creators to ensure content is optimized for SEO on digital channels
· Partner with customer acquisition marketing resources to measure impacts and lead generation of digital content initiatives.
· Define the content workflow for projects.
· Develop and maintain a content translation strategy with translators and reviewers from an approved freelance pool.
· Serve as internal expert relative to content marketing best practices, content distribution tactics, customer digital journey mapping and content needs, audience targeting, etc.
· Create best practice policies and processes which will be leveraged by global/division marketing teams.
· Work with internal clients to define customer buying journeys and content impacts to lead nurturing that meet business objectives and maximize ROI.
· Understand, champion and educate organization on content marketing and content distribution strategies Develop and evaluate KPIs to improve our content marketing programs.
Qualifications Requirements: · 8+ years marketing experience with a minimum of 4 years of experience managing content marketing programs.
· Proficiency in content marketing, marketing automation and CRM systems.
· Experience working with global teams and content translation tools/processes.
· Bacheloregree required or equivalent combination of experience and education.
· Well-rounded marketing content manager familiar with B2B lead generation (inbound/outbound marketing, demand generation, etc.).
· Ability to define and implement content marketing programs within a marketing/sales cycle
· Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentation.
· Proven ability to work with senior business leaders to drive change in the organization.
· Candidate must thrive in a fast paced, iterative, deadline driven environment.
