We are currently looking for a Director, Sales and Service to join our Commercial team based in Los Angeles, California. Reporting to the VP, Sales and Service, the Director, Sales and Service
responsible for developing and maintaining a good, professional, cross-functional relationship within Gate Gourmet operations and corporate counterparts. The position establishes effective communication at all levels of customer and operational interaction. Responsible for overall account maintenance, growth, profitability.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: Establish and maintain communications with all levels of Airline Management, including Strategic Sourcing, Operations, Finance and On Board Service Groups which impact customer relationships
Identify existing or potential business opportunities.Advise and recommend to corporate management effective solutions.Develop proposals for new business opportunities
Manage a system for evaluation customer and system performance.Recommend corrective and remedial action to improve customer relationships
Insure Gate Gourmet and customer relationships and overall company objectives are being maintained and achieved
Consults with airline customers to identify business development opportunities that will be mutually beneficial
Provide technical assistance and guidance in culinary trends, airline processes, operational improvements leading to cost savings initiatives for both parties
Assist Vice President in coordinating and negotiating all pricing and contractual negotiations with the appropriate airline and corporate personnel
Maintains key performance indicators
Manage new station and new service start-ups as assigned
Plan and conduct marketing research and intelligence analysis to research current and future competitive trends in order to insure Gate Gourmetompetitive edge
May be required to work on special assignments as directed Vice President, Sales & Service
Negotiate catering agreements with airline customers
Negotiate annual price increases
Assist corporate finance in maintaining timely payments from our airline customers
Qualifications Education: - Bacheloregree (required)
- Masteregree (preferred)
Work Experience: 7+ years progressive sales and service or business development experience required
5 years experience in airline catering or food service industry preferred
Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)
Must be able to obtain AOA access
Must have a valid drivers license
Must have a valid passport
Job Skills: Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications
