Job Overview: The Network Director, Maintenance and Engineering will oversee all capital projects and provide oversight and expertise to the Distribution/D2C Maintenance teams. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions: - Collaborate as a strong partner to Regional Maintenance Directors.
- Oversee capital projects to assist all Macyogistics and Operations facilities in increasing their productivity.
- Provide oversight and expertise to the Macyogistics maintenance teams. Champion the maintenance process management team (PMT8) .
- Develop, maintain and monitor network best practices and standards for maintenance, preventative maintenance, safety and compliance.
- Investigate and develop corrective measures for all elevated equipment / facility related issues.
- Participate in the development and design phase of projects. Provide guidance and input on facility and material handling equipment application, design and manufacturer.
- Provide oversight and guidance to field teams in execution of capital projects. Ensure company standards are met.
- Develop project implementation plans and schedules for large scale network projects.
- Manage capital project procurement, financial and contract processes. Work closely with Finance to ensure corporate standards are met.
- Oversee on-site activity to ensure all equipment is delivered per design and per vendor contract. Ensure all corporate safety and security procedures are followed.
- Approve all project invoicing. Ensure vendor payments meet corporate guidelines per contract terms and level of work completion.
- Coordinate project team meetings to monitor and ensure progress. Publish project updates to team members.
- Work with local municipalities on permitting processes. Ensure required building safety and fire codes are met.
- Work with Macyorporate risk department to ensure projects meet standards.
- Partner in the procurement, bid evaluation and vendor selection process. Ensure the accuracy of all vendor provided designs, quotes and proposals.
- Develop and maintain long range capital budgets related to equipment obsolescence and replacement.
- Complete project safety assessments and work with Macyafety teams for approval.
- Maintain financial control of Capital Projects from design phase through proposal, bidding, contracting, completion, invoice processing and timely project close-out.
- Support sortation and scanning controls (work w/ Controls Engineering 3rd Party).
- Property, Insurance, Environmental and Energy control of all MLO facilities. Participate in all respective topic audits, reviews, requisitions, actionable items and responses. Collaborate with MCS SPACE (Store Construction), Environmental Management, Property Management and Risk Management along with building management in the follow up. Management of all MLO facility infra-structures rmits, roofs, insurance and depreciation issues.
- Primary contact during business interruption events; providing event information including loss value (initial and final), preliminary damage assessment, coordinating Division recovery activities and assisting MCS in restoration and business recovery efforts.
- Any other functions management deems essential.

Qualifications: Education/Experience: - Bacheloregree or equivalent experience.
- Material Handling Systems and Warehouse Control Systems.
- Microsoft Excel, Microsoft suit of systems, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
Communication Skills: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
- Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Reasoning Ability:
- Critical thinking skills, Draw conclusion based on fact and analysis.
