Assistant Procurement Manager - Construction

£35,295 per annum (rising to £38,575 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

The Assistant Procurement Manager will work on construction related tenders with support from the Group Procurement Manager ensuring value for money and regulatory compliance. The group has a target to build 30,000 new properties by 2027 so this role focussing on construction procurement is vital to support this goal.
The role of Assistant Procurement Manager will include l>
Tendering and compiling OJEU compliant contracts and frameworks, including drafting and negotiating commercially viable contracts in compliance with legislation and the Groups corporate social responsibility strategy Conducting research to obtain market intelligence and assess trends to enable the most effective and efficient contracts Working with a variety of stakeholders to support further competitions under existing framework agreements Maintaining a current, fit for purpose supplier base Working with a team ensuring an outstanding level of performance Skills and experiences > - Previous construction procurement experience be this in a Procurement, or Quantity Surveyor environment
- Ideally you will have experience working within EU procurement directives including framework contracts and dynamic procurement solutions
- Excellent negotiation, rapport building and influencing skills both internally and externally, with a keen eye for detail
- Proficient user of Microsoft office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Some travel may be required in the role so a Full UK driving license is desirable
