Business Unit Description:
DTCC's Product Management teams are responsible for developing and delivering DTCC products and services to clients across our core businesses while ensuring product competitiveness. Product Management activities range from product strategy and business planning to marketing and sales, customer experience, financial management and project management.
Position Summary: The Project Management Director, fulfils a role as Program Lead and is responsible for using managerial acumen, program and project management expertise, organizational and communication skills to manage a group of project managers and analysts through the planning and execution of major DTCC Solutions initiatives. The Program Lead's book of work also includes direct management of projects, from initiation through execution and closing (when appropriate), requiring demonstration of executive presence and partnering with key stakeholders to ensure the program deliverables achieve business objectives. This role also requires the ability to assess disparate metrics and synthesize project status at the executive level.
Specific Responsibilities: - Provide project planning and execution guidance to junior staff, staff development, performance appraisals and related staff management activities.
- Manage a portfolio of concurrent initiatives as the program manager for a group of related projects and/or as the project manager for several individual projects.
- Create and manage the program governance structures including risk, issue, decision and change management processes and artifacts;
- Take responsibility for the project planning process including developing artifacts such as project plans, product backlogs, countdown schedules and/or action items.
- Lead teams, including contributing to the estimation of the project management work effort, leading and developing more junior project management staff, and escalating staff related issues.
- Manage project execution including monitoring project performance metrics that ensure the project scope is achieved within budget and on schedule.
- Lead project team meetings and/or facilitate stand-up meetings including ensuring that project obstacles, issues and risks are surfaced, documented and addressed.
- Prepare executive level project reports and present project performance updates to executives, senior management and stakeholders
- Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Qualifications: - Minimum of 10 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience
- Proficient with project management tools (e.g. Project, Jira or Confluence)
PgMP, PMP, CSM or similar project management certification preferred
