Role Summary/Purpose:
The EDI Director oversees staff responsible for design, development, and operations of the Epicor EDI Service offerings including the VAN, translations, and platform architectures. In this role, you will be our EDI Product Manager, responsible to align the offering to the Market to meet Revenue and Margin targets while maintaining high levels of service quality and customer satisfaction. Sets EDI organization agendas and work plans, manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs and ensures milestones and deliverables are achieved. Develops and implements an EDI strategy to support growth initiatives. Your skills and ability to lead profitable development of a well-defined, competitively superior EDI Services strategy and make that strategy a reality will be your key indicator for success. We are looking for an energetic, creative, and motivated self-starter that has a passion for business and innovation with a maniacal focus on our customer experience. This position reports to the VP of Business Enablement Products & Services and can be a remote role.
Essential Responsibilities: - Market Assessment & Vision
- Defines strategic direction and priorities for Epicor EDI Services globally for all Epicor product lines
- Develops deep understanding of the needs of current and target customers through quantitative and qualitative customer research
- Develops an understanding of the marketplace and competitive environment
- Collaborates with internal sales stakeholders to facilitate and ensure an understanding of the key service differentiators
- Gathering and prioritizing product, service, and customer requirements, defining the solution vision from contract with customers and prospects, industry opinion leaders, related Epicor product groups, Epicor sales and industry research and expertise
- Product portfolio, roadmap, innovation index, and all phases of product management

- Develops the go-to-market planning and execution, including reference customers, beta programs, sales training, sales materials, and demos
- Administers budget and ensures cost efficiencies
- Collaborates with other functions leaders (marketing, sales, development, and customer service) to create the content and tools needed to successfully sell, implement and service the product
- Assists in pricing models based on customer value (ROI) analysis.
- Develop a multiyear product road map based on criteria and structure for requirements prioritization
- Provide Sales enablement by communicating the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products
- EDI Operations
- Analyzes performance metrics to streamline processes, increase effectiveness and efficiently run operations.
- Collaborates with Management on the development of all service level for his/her assigned area(s).
- Develops and administers processing escalation plan(s) for dealing with sudden peaks and emergency situations.
- Develops and/or enhances performance metrics and provides business analysis regarding service performance and quality to management
- Ensures team is appropriately trained to respond to customer inquiries/concerns.
- Forecasts processing volumes and short and long-term staffing requirements for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Performs root cause analysis of escalated issues to proactively prevent issues/concerns going forward

- Experience:
- 7+ Years of experience with Electronic Business Communications and Integrations including significant experience with EDI and Electronic File Exchange (Required)
- 5+ Years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience (Required)
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (6 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
- Demonstrated ability planning, organizing and executing multiple complex projects
- Experience within a software company is a plus
