Job Summary Directs all sales/marketing and client relations for the Event Center; manages the Event Center team, including contract employees.

Job Details

Job Responsibilities:

• Creates and maintains the Event Center website, marketing materials and other sales tools.
• Builds corporate and private client business. Responsible for sourcing new business.
• Maintains current business and promotes the expansion of business.
• Negotiates contracts and manages vendor relations.
• Oversees day-to-day operations and procedures; onsite event management.
• Manages Event Center team. Conducts hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions as appropriate.

Education:

• Bacheloregree required.
• Additional years of experience may offset the Bacheloregree requirement.

Languages:

• NA

Certifications:

• Valid Drivericense (VDL) required.

Competencies (Complexity of Work):

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

• Five (5) years of hospitality experience.
• Experience to include three (3) years management or project management experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires standing, walking and sitting.
• Normal or corrected vision.
• Travel to various communities required.
• Normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
