Lam Research Corporation is a leading global technology company in the Fortune 500 headquarter in Fremont, CA. Finance Director, Life Science is a newly created position to support Lam's Emerging Businesses. Reporting to the Managing Director - OCTO Controller, the Finance Director will both be the business partner to the Corporate VP, Emerging Businesses and lead finance team to support execution of strategic investments. With direct access to senior executives, this individual will support highly visible strategic projects that will have a significant impact on the direction and performance of the company.
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Biology and Life Sciences or a related discipline
- Master of Business Administration
- Minimum 5+ years of senior role experience in business finance and/ or business development
- A broad understanding of the life sciences industry and key players in its underlying ecosystem Ideally experience within the genomics segment of the industry
- Proactive work style and ability to work independently with limited oversight
- Strong cross functional project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills; capable of communicating with senior executives and becoming a trusted finance advisor
- Technical skills
- Business valuation skills including discounted cash flow, sales/ EBITA multiples, venture capital valuation
- Excellent Excel financial modeling skills
