The Director of Applied Technology and Operations will focus on effective processes to facilitate learning through technologies and understanding the impacts of technology on learners and organizations. Areas of specialization may include distance learning, human performance technology, technology integration and management, media design and development, learning sciences, instructional design, change management, and communications processes.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversees, directs and manages technology platforms applied to learning
- LMS, Mobile devices, virtual classroom, rapid eLearning, CBT, etc.
- Works closely with USMA Director, General Medicines Director, Communications Director, Specialty Medicines Director and Leadership Capabilities Director to apply and incorporate learning technology solutions into instructional design
- Oversees, directs and manages the training of technology platforms used by the Commercial Training team
- Oversees, directs and manages the training of technology platforms for field sales and other customer facing teams in the NA Commercial function
- Assesses human characteristics for performance and adapting technology to support the reinforcement, sustainment and measure of training
- Manages change and adopting technology innovations
- Acts as an internal consultant to identify performance needs within NA Pharma and recommends training strategic initiatives based on the need
- Consult with Workday cross-functional team to discuss roster semi-automation or a roster tool to continue data feed improvement and assist with the improvement of the on-boarding process.
- Drive adaptation, adoption, data accumulation, and reporting through an internally developed application to improve user experience, ensure compliance, and automate dashboarding
- Ensure our internal systems, operations, and SOPs improve the user experience, drive compliance and increase the impact of our training and development initiatives
- This role manages two employees.
Qualifications: Minimum Level of Job-Related Education: BA/BS Degree. Preferably in instructional technologies
- 3-5 years of experience in the field of learning, commercial training and applied learning and technology; designing , developing , implementing and measuring training
- Knowledge of learning management systems, virtual classroom technology, CRM systems, rapid eLearning platforms, etc.
- Conceptual understanding of theories, principles, practices, methods, and techniques relevant in the field of instructional technologies.
- Proven experience to create, develop & lead projects
- Experience managing complex projects and demonstrated ability to work independently
- Experience in developing or implementing sales force training curricula specific to technology platforms
- Ability to work in team environment with collaboration across multiple functional areas
- Ability to develop rapport and credibility with key stakeholders
- Natural ability to flex and adapt in real time based on multiple channels of feedback
- Ability to organize and work effectively with an understanding of organizational policies and activities.
- Ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Proficient in communication, both oral and written.
- Ability to integrate resources, policies and information for the determination of procedures, solutions, and other outcomes.
