Pourshins, a gategroup company, is a fourth-party logistics provider managing the complex supply chain between suppliers, caterers and airlines.
We are currently looking for a Director, Service and Delivery to join our Supply Chain team based in Reston, VA. Reporting to the Senior Director, Supply Chain, the Director, Service and Delivery will be responsible for a US based team and for multiple clientspply chain logistics activities from warehouse to end user management. The role is to ensure that all orders are fulfilled on a timely and accurate basis, meeting and exceeding KPIs for all customer accounts. To do this the individual will be accountable for managing all aspects of service delivery for all accounts, promoting the continuous improvement in efficiency, cost, service quality and customer satisfaction. A high degree of sense of urgency, excellent customer service and communication skills are essential. Other key activities include the management of the team, with training, coaching and performance reviews. As Director of Service Delivery, the position will be a key member of the North American management team and will participate in the setting and implementation of the strategy.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: - Accountable for managing all aspects of customer service and delivery to last mile providers (caterers) and customers
- Supports and enhances the logistic strategy with a quality / service / cost optimization focus consistent with company and group direction
- Provides direction and oversight of order management, scheduling, distribution and general management of supply chain logistics.
- Provides superior customer service to internal and external customers
- Must work with a great sense of urgency to resolve order and delivery issues which may arise
- Ensures compliance with established procedures and maintain effective internal control over product flow and financial aspects of the business
- Provide expert problem management support for escalated or high-profile customer issues. Ensure root-cause analysis and that the corrective action plan is followed through with any learning applied for the future
- Monitors and analyzes financial and service levels Performance IndicatorsPIrelated to operations execution; define and implement required improvement activities to ensure continued attainment of targets
- Participates in proposal strategy and development plans
- Provides support to Sales and Service team in operational aspects of account management
- Oversees the support and training of staff members
- Mentors and coaches upcoming managers for succession planning
- Performs responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Champion team-working, knowledge sharing and promote the interests of the company.
- Provide support to new business opportunities. Take an active role in bids and lead operational implementation of new business.
Qualifications Education: - Bacheloregree in Logistics, Supply Chain, business, management or equivalent
Work Experience: - 3+ years in a similar role
- 5+ years of related MRP, DRP or product specific management in a distribution environment
- 7+ years in supply chain management with experience
- 7+ years of customer service
Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)
- Expert in the use of Microsoft Office and specifically Excel.Access or ERP knowledge required
- Experienced user of a demand and supply planning tools
