Summary of Position with General Responsibilities
The TTM National Pediatric & Neonatal ICU Sales Manager is responsible for driving incremental sales and market share growth through direct selling efforts with and through TTM sales and clinical field organizations.
The TTM National Pediatric & Neonatal ICU Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales revenue to exceed division goals, leading national, regional and local market development initiatives focused on creating new business opportunities that will contribute to the divisionuccess, and education/training that will enable high competency levels of sales and clinical personnel. Individuals must exhibit strong leadership skills, sales and clinical excellence, ability to drive results through non-direct reports and excellence in creating cross-functional partnerships that yield results. One must be able to manage challenging situations quickly, directly and without hesitation and be creative in their problem solving. Individuals will have experience in calling upon and be comfortable in the Pediatric and Neonatal ICU and hospital settings. Individuals will manage all aspects of the business with integrity and in accordance with Becton Dickinson Code of Ethics and all applicable policies, rules and procedures.
Essential Job Functions - Drive sales revenue to exceed established priorities and revenue targets (absolute results driven mentality and execution ability).
- Sales results and opportunities are tracked in a scorecard format to be updated monthly for Director of sales.
- Research the Pediatric & Neonatal market and prospect key Physicians/KOL's.
- Setup meetings with KOL's to understand their perspective on cooling/warming within the Pediatric and Neonatal population. Then understand the obstacles in this market to be summarized for Director of Sales.
- The position requires weekly overnight travel to manage the US based off an ROI principle of new business (70% travel expectation).
- Attend Pediatric & Neonatal conferences/events to gain market relevant insight and take away points and provide to sales, marketing and clinical leadership team.
- Defines and develops sustainable new business opportunities.
- Builds and maintains sustainable strategic business relationships in key accounts.
- Performs product demonstrations, customer education and in-service as required or requested.
- Develops monthly, quarterly and annual plans designed to meet revenue targets.
- Develops and maintains a level of excellence in clinical knowledge within respective disease states.
- Develops and maintains a level of excellence in national program management and selling skills.
- Control expenses within budgets and manage those resources according to Becton Dickinson guidelines and policies.
- Maintains open, positive and productive lines of communication with the sales, clinical and marketing team, customer service, and sales clinical and marketing management.
- Works cross functionally with Marketing to develop and execute training programs and materials that support achievement of business goals.
- Partners with sales, clinical and marketing management in the development and execution of local training initiatives as needed. Participates in needs analysis for the development of training programs and curriculum.
- Deliver sales training to inside and field sales employees. Present sales modules, presentations/workshops, overall sales training curriculum at new hire training classes and sales meetings.
- In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Becton Dickinson Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
- Completes requested and required administrative duties in a timely manner including call reports, monthly results report and additional items as assigned.
- Develops and maintains accurate customer and account files, both written and electronic.
- Attend and represent Bard at local, regional and national medical conferences.
Basic Qualifications - Possess a specialty level of sales and clinical knowledge and proven ability to execute within the Pediatric & Neonatal ICU setting.
- Proven track record of sales excellence (consistent demonstration of above-plan performance).
- Strong interpersonal skills required in the areas of verbal and written communications, customer focus, professionalism, negotiating, coaching, and team building.
- Capable of precise communication with a high competency in understanding written and verbal information. Strong listening and personal assessment skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, understand, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of healthcare professionals, executives, managers, clients and customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Education and/or Experience - BA/BS four year degree
- Minimum of ten plus (10+) years of experience in sales
- MS Excel, MS Word and Bard sales information systems.
- Prior sales management experience preferred

Work Environment This position works in a home office, hospital, HCP office or clinical environment. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate. Frequent travel within the territory is required.
