The Outside Sales/Account Manager sells products for manufacture or distributor to business and industrial establishments or individuals at sales office, or customerlace of business by performing the following duties
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop external sales of OHP products and services in dedicated regions (N. America)
- Develop customer Relationship and win new customers
- Initiate opportunities to extend and enhance the customer relationship through in-person visits and technical days including attending and exhibiting at trade shows related to powertrain components
- Responsible for the development of the customer relationships and to facilitate the flow of information to and from the customers
Aftermarket and Service Growth
- Contribute to analysis of North American Aftermarket and Service markets and utilize market research to identify potential new customers
- Evaluate and qualify both current and potential customers for agreements/partnerships
- Monitor Aftermarket sales to ensure that customers are complying with the terms of Distributor agreements
- Work with Aftermarket customers and their sales representatives in all aspects of GKN product lines. Must be able to learn technical product attributes and be able to communicate them to a varied audience in a understandable manner
- Work with Aftermarket customers Management Teams to effectively to help assigned customers grow their business with GKN
- Support commercial launch of new products and Services
Sales Goals
- Develop a sales strategy for customer portfolio that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability
- Must be committed to reaching customer and project deadlines and the timely achievement of sales goals, projects and communication with customers and management
- Manage and grow market share at different types of accounts including small OEMdistributors, fabricators and service customers
- Prepare, analyze and implement business planning for assigned accounts to ensure that sales growth goals are attained
- Complete monthly sales reporting
About you Required Qualifications: - Bachelors degree from accredited college or university
- 3+ years directly related experience in Sales and Account Management
Additional Qualifications: - Ability to collaborate with appropriate personnel at GKN Plant to ensure plant processes are understood and followed.
- Ability to negotiate prices, price increases and price changes.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite Products
- Proven past ability to work with team of global professionals.
- Willing to Travel 35-40%
