Airgas Dry Ice, an Air Liquide company, a leading distributor of industrial, medical, & specialty gases & welding supplies, is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Star, MS.
JOB SUMMARY: Plan, direct and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities at the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the all maintenance activities. Specific duties include:
- Scheduling corrective and preventive maintenance work the on the facility and all facility equipment including pumps, compressors, valves, manifolds, safety devices, scales, pressure indicators, bulk tanks, etc.
- Adhering to all Airgas work site safety rules.
- Developing and maintaining a preventive and corrective maintenance program utilizing Intellex software or an equivalent.
- Supervising work conducted by the Maintenance Technicians and ensures compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality programs.
- Managing maintenance shop work areas for safety, health, and environmental compliance.
- Managing purchase orders and receipt of maintenance related tools and equipment.
- Monitoring spare parts inventory to minimize production impact during equipment service, repair, or replacement.
- Coordinating contract services for maintenance repairs and calibration when necessary.
- Issuing hazardous work permits according to policy.
- Managing employee vacation, overtime, work schedules, training, and recordkeeping.
- Controlling ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 maintenance records for all plant equipment.
- Implementing plant improvement projects to enhance facility safety, health, environment, and quality while reducing cost.

Qualifications EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bacheloregree or 5+ years of experience
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
COMMUNICATION and/or CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals using the English language.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Mathematical skills relevant to the technical application.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
