About the role The primary role of the Custom Manufacturing Senior Operations Manager is to lead RB US's custom manufacturing operations; ensuring safety, quality, service, cost/ productivity and inventory controls targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities - Leads the operation and people of 3 critical operations across the RB US network.
- Develop and manage the US's Custom Manufacturing Operation budget across multiple sites while drive significant cost reduction via both fixed and variable cost plans.
- Partners with RB Planning and Commercial Team to deliver flawless execution of all promotional display activity for RB across all operations within RB Logistic Centers.
- Key leadership member of the NA Logistics Director team, driving outperformance in compliance, service and cost control for the NA network.
- Lead efforts to improve Gross Margin performance through the development and execution of processes that deliver cost-effective design and execution of promotional vehicles and Warehouse Club pallets for all RB's embellished items (display, special packs, etc).
- Optimizes the departmental organization structure and focus on people development through education, training or internal opportunities.
- Sets goals and measures that ensure customer focus, safe manufacturing of quality products and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for the control of VOH, Inventory (Finished Good and components), direct labor and obsolescence.
- Partners with Procurement to lead tenders with strategic operation and component vendors.
- Lead efforts to insure slow moving and obsolete Custom Manufacturing components are actioned by the commercial businesses in a structured way on a monthly basis.
- Guide efforts to insure compliance with all applicable Good Manufacturing Practices and requirements; update and modify site-operating procedures as required in cooperation with Regional Center Quality Management.
- Ensures the compliance to safety policies of Reckitt Benckiser as well as compliance to the appropriate local safety and environmental regulations.
- Serve as a key liaison between the Logistics Centers and the Commercial Divisions in the development and fulfillment of customer specific promotions.
- Manage the flow of Custom Manufactured goods into the Logistics Centers and Distribution Centers to insure all sites achieve the desired levels of performance in cost, service, and communication
Is this You?
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations Management or Supply Chain management.
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience in Logistics, Transportation or Manufacturing Operations and/or Supply Chain Management
- 2+ years management experience or project management experience
- Experience with FDA and GMP regulations
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with Quality systems
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated strong budget and financial understanding
- Experience with lean fundamentals
- Ability to influence significant improvement working with strategic vendors; commercial contract experience and operational management
- Ability to travel 30+% of time across the US
