Job Summary AECOM's Hunt Valley, Maryland office is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to work in their Environmental & Transportation Planning Department. The Project Manager will be responsible for technical oversight and project management. The department has won several large projects and is expanding. The appropriately skilled candidate will demonstrate established experience in surface and public transportation planning and permitting with knowledge of the project development process and a focus on environmental management for highway, transit/rail and aviation projects from business development through construction completion.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for project and program management
- Manages schedules, resources and financial management
- Serves as capture manager to identify and develop business opportunities
- Organizes, plans and mobilizes projects
- Executes complex projects with a variety of team sizes and skill composition, following project management and quality assurance protocols
- Facilitates successful client relationships

Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban/Transportation/Environmental Planning, or related fields
- 10+ years of experience related to transportation environmental engineering, planning and environmental compliance
- Required technical skills in project management, staff management, clear technical writing, presentations and oral communication, conducting public meetings/events, managing difficult situations and solving complex problems, attention to detail and quality control
- Documented / demonstrated project management experience for Maryland public sector clients
Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Studies/Planning, Urban/Transportation or related field
- 15+ years of experience
