Job Summary The Quality Manager is responsible for but not limited to managing all aspects of the quality program including the training and development of employees in procedures used to maintain and verify quality, establishing quality controls and monitoring their adherence, leading quality initiatives to continuously improve in external and internal rejects, creating and maintaining a calibration program, Internal audit reporting, and maintaining our certifications and licenses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Liaison between glass associations and third-party certification programs
- Provide consultation, coordination, and assistance to our customers to determine root cause of quality related issue
- Provides guidance on compliance to industry standards
- Liaison between sales and quality for external customer issues through resolution of quality concerns to minimize liability
- Investigates matters of significance with regards to quality (e.g. Large dollar value, complex issues, multi-supplier issues) for customer resolution
Requirements To be considered for a Quality Manager position, the following conditions must be met:
- Excellent Attendance for the previous 12 months
- College degree or previous management experience of 1 or more years
- Demonstrated ability to lead change
- Ability to multitask, problem solve and follow through on tasks
- Experience with Windows Based Software
- Intermediate experience in MS Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels in the organization and external contacts
- Some travel may be required
