Oracle seeks an experienced Business Intelligence Leader to join its fast-growing internal cloud business solutions organization. The Cloud Solutions organization of Oracle Applications Labs drives the growth of Oracleloud business around the globe. This Leader will be based at our Oracle HQ, reporting into the Senior Director, Cloud Analytics, and manage teams in multiple locations around the world.

The Business Intelligence Leader will be responsible for translating transactional, performance, and operating data into actionable insights that improve our day to day execution and the business experience. This role will lead the worldwide analytics function, and strategize and manage the growing information needs of internal cloud business. You will partner closely with business leaders to develop a deep understanding of their business needs, then create innovative, insightful, and user-friendly tools that enable them to manage their businesses more effectively. You will also proactively drive analyses that will lead to deeper insights and recommendations. Your work must be accurate, timely, and insightful. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as the ability to earn trust with business leaders and diverse teams around the globe.

In addition to analyses and business insights, you will be responsible for the overall data architecture strategy which will include how we provide our business and executives timely, flexible and structured access to business data. Your team will build and maintain database solutions that are used for daily/weekly/monthly reporting and drive business decisions, which requires working with the massive amount of data available through our Data Warehouse. You will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions using both third-party and in-house reporting tools, modeling metadata, building reports and dashboards, and administering the platform software in order to create a culture where data and analytics are the foundation for a solid decision making process. Your focus should include a strong penchant for automation and the widespread application of Machine Learning/Data Analytics across multiple business processes.

Responsibilities include

• Strong leadership and vision for how to drive a Business Intelligence team to create changes in business partnerships, analytics, and metrics/reporting.
• Lead the analytics for cross-functional projects across multiple geographies working with senior business leaders on major initiatives.
• Drive development of tools, reporting improvement and automation worldwide, and create new innovative and insightful reports in a timely manner.
• Ability to work with senior business leaders and executives by presenting project vision and strategy, providing regular status updates, and elaborating on technical architecture.
• Support Executives and Cloud business teams with ad-hoc data requests and analytical needs, projects and deliver advanced Analytics solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• Deep experience in a fast-paced environment and/or a blue-chip company, preferably in Business Intelligence and/or Reporting. Consulting or big data experience a plus.
• Strong people management skills, with strong track record of hiring and developing diverse analytic teams of 10+ employees.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other related discipline.
• Strong programming skills combined with a keen interest in acquiring an advanced knowledge of Oracle BI tools. Willingness to dive deep and be hands on is critical.
• Project management skills and an ability to drive multiple initiatives against tight deadlines.
• An advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office desktop applications.
• An excellent knowledge of data warehouse principles and reporting.
