Job Description The Security Manager is a key member of the Public Safety Department, and works closely with the Director of Security to deliver world-class safety and guest experience to all guests.
Primary Duties:
- Works closely with the Security Director to create, execute, and oversee the security plan of each event
- Executes and oversees the 24-hour security needs of multiple venues, including the Vivint Smart Home Arena and Smith's Ballpark
- Must be able to work an event-based schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays
- Handles all administrative tasks for multiple teams, including scheduling and payroll
- Build budgets based on operational and labor costs
- Train and monitor of the video surveillance camera system
- Trains and coaches all members of the Public Safety Department to achieve individual and team goals
- Coordinates all aspects of the Event Security, Building Security, EMS, Fire, and SLPD teams
- Maintains relationships between local law enforcement and first responders
- Creates and implements policies and procedures to maintain the highest quality of public safety
- Coordinate emergency response procedures and demonstrates best practices

Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in business management or equivalent experience in the security management or events field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience developing and managing in a Public Safety and/or Guest Services role
- Experience in ABI or other venue management and payroll system, a plus
- Experience managing multiple teams, more than 200 employees, a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must be able to work in a collaborative manner
- Ability to stay calm in highly stressful situations
- Ability to make good decisions quickly
- Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements: - This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally
- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess
- Ability to work long hours while standing or walking, often up and down stairs and outside
- Exposed to intermittent bending, squatting, kneeling and climbing stairs
- This person must be able to lift 50 lbs.
