MS Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) business. The department is comprised of 10 organizations: Sales, Banking & Corporate-Client Technology, Investment Products & Markets Technology, Client Reporting, Core Processing, Private and International Wealth Management Technology, Technology Integration Office, Enterprise Infrastructure & Production Management, Capital Markets Application & Data Services, Deployment Planning & Release Management, and the Chief Operating Office. Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology works with large scale databases such as DB2 and SQL Server, proprietary and non-proprietary messaging software, a broad variety of vendor products, numerous financial exchanges and regulatory entities, and programming languages ranging from .Net and Java to Cobol and VB.Net.
Responsibilities: - Project Manager responsible for overseeing one or more projects within Unify-Advisory Program, driving requirements analysis, managing comprehensive and concise documentation of all artifacts throughout project's lifecycle..
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues -
Establish and lead key forums, discussion and working group forums to drive the analysis, walkthrough sessions, escalate and resolve issues/risks to meet expected timelines.
- Develop strong relationships with IT colleagues to design, develop and implement technology platforms to deliver solutions to these business requirements.
- Participate and review end to end functional testing to ensure that the application has been delivered as per the business requirements
- Partner with IT, QA and UAT to ensure successful delivery of technology platforms.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate leadership and accountability with a commitment to excellence.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans and status reporting
Qualifications Skills Desired:
1. Strong understanding of SDLC Project Lifecycle
2. Strong understanding of data and requirements analysis
3. Ability to document indepth and comprehensive functional requirements inclusive of High Level Designs to enable for robust testing and successful implementations
4. Good analytical skills and willingness to learn
5. Strong familiarity of MS Project, Visio, Powerpoint, Excel
6. Good communication skills. Willing to ask questions
7. Team player
8. Experienced in front, middle and back office (preferred)
9. Strong knowledge of Advisory Business (preferred)
10. Familiar with Morgan Stanley Organization, Applications and Operating Model (preferred)
