Planning and Best Practices Manager
Responsibilities - Supports the Development and implementation of Material Requirement Plan / Master Production Schedule / Deployment Requirement Plan, Enterprise Resource Planning, Sales & Operations Planning (MRP/MPS/DRP/ERP/S&OP) best practice processes.
- Maps current MRP/MPS/DRP/ERP/S&OP process - identifies gaps versus best practice - defines action plan to close gap.
- Assists with the implementation of the new best practice planning process.
- Analyzes the performance of the best practice supply planning process - identifies gaps and action plans to close gaps.
- Benchmarks activities in the supply planning process with other regions and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies.
- Create and lead training programs that are in alignment with new t practiceanning processes.
- Supports the plants and Demand Planning team with root cause analysis for KPI's below target
- Develops training documentation and trains planners.
- Prepare and complete weekly/monthly reports, including inventory levels, Pack Fill Rate (Customer Service levels), and forecast accuracy.
- Identifies, develops, and implements new capabilities and tools.
- Develop training and onboarding programs for the planning team.
- Develops simulation models to support strategic business projects.
- Supports the analysis, evaluation, and optimization of the strategic supply chain network design which meets customer service objectives at the lowest total system cost.
Qualifications - Analytical: You can sift through data sets, extract insights and leverage those insights to solve the root cause of a problem. You use KPIs to monitor processes and personal performance.
- Organized: You manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment to deliver on time and in full.
- Supply Chain Professional: You have experience using production planning tool (i.e. SAP or JDE). APCIS certification preferred. You work with continuous improvement tools and methodology (Lean and or six sigma).
- Technical: You haves strong computer skills, especially using excel with ability to create spreadsheets and perform advanced formulas and functions.
- Supply Chain Background: Minimum of 3 years of professional planning experience which could include: inventory, supply chain management, production planning, distribution and logistics, shipping and receiving, or forecasting.
- College graduate: You have a B.S. In Supply Chain Management, Business Degree, Engineering or relevant degree.
