JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Development Manager to help us expand our eCommerce business geographically. You will work extensively with internal teams to develop and deliver programmes to eCommerce clients. You will have the flexibility to develop effective local strategies
The overall goal is to build and drive sustainable revenues for the SGS Group in line with the company's strategy, vision and values.
REPORTING TO VP, Global eCommerce Solutions
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Work with SGS internal teams at all levels to develop and implement new services and initiatives which satisfy customer needs
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
- Promote the company's products/services addressing or predicting clients' objectives
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to rules and guidelines
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
REQUIREMENTS - Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
- Proven sales track record with evidence of delivering revenues from projects undertaken in a complex environment
- Experience in working in or dealing with eCommerce, internet, tech businesses with commercial projects, ideally Amazon, eBay or eCommerce operations of a top bricks-and-mortar retailer
- Good general eCommerce market knowledge
- Experience in customer support is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office and generally used websites
- Good presentation, communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in English
- Worked in international environment or company
- Time management and planning skills
- BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
- Ability to travel frequently
- Preferred: Good foundation in TIC industry, ideally with SGS
