GitHub is growing the top Talent Acquisition team in the world, and we're looking for a Talent Attraction Manager to lead, inspire, and develop our Talent Attraction team. The Talent Attraction Manager will help lead GitHub in its continued efforts to build a more diverse and inclusive company representative of all facets of the communities in which we live and work.
As Talent Attraction Manager, you will be based in our San Francisco HQ, working closely with onsite and remote employees alike. You will report to the Head of Global Talent Acquisition and will manage a key strategic team within the talent organization.
Responsibilities: - Lead, manage, and mentor GitHub's growing Talent Attraction team, tasked with developing diverse candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill roles
- Develop team procedures that are transparent, scalable, and effective
- Mentor fellow recruiting professionals to develop their sourcing skills through trainings and personalized consultative efforts
- Meet regularly with leadership and executives to collaborate and share updates regarding candidate pipeline diversity
- Function as an individual contributor with a strategic approach to sourcing passive, high-quality prospects for mid-level to executive-level roles
- Identify trends and leverage data to develop creative and effective sourcing strategies
- Define a strategy for recruiting marketing, including building GitHub's presence on Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Comparably, targeted career/community sites, and more
- In partnership with our corporate branding team, execute initiatives to grow GitHub's employer brand
- Work cross-functionally with GitHub's newly formed employee resource groups (ERGs) to develop effective community recruiting strategies
- Develop and immerse yourself in community events and strategic partnerships to ensure that GitHub is building healthy, innovative, and effective partnerships with small and large community organizations
Minimum Qualifications: - Considerable experience working as a leader in a diversity sourcing function within a fast-paced, distributed, high-growth organization
- Deep expertise with sourcing talent from underrepresented communities in the tech space
- Direct experience building and managing a sourcing team, including hiring and training new team members
- Experience directly scaling hiring at a company from small foundations to large impact
- Familiarity and experience with employment law and compliance (AAP, EEO, OFCCP, immigration, etc.)
- Proven, progressive approaches to sourcing and hiring top talent
- Experience developing an employer brand and executing recruitment marketing initiatives
- Experience leading trainings designed to improve recruiters' sourcing skills
- A high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Willingness to collaborate when faced with challenges or conflict
- International hiring experience
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in a startup environment
- Familiarity with GitHub and sourcing talent on our platform
- Experience working with remote and distributed global teams
