Job Description Primary Responsibilities: The Collision Center Manager is expected to:
- Protect the legal, financial and moral well-being of the Larry H. Miller Companies dealerships;
- Oversee, manage and direct all operations of the Collision Center Department to achieve maximum production while controlling costs and setting and obtaining profit objectives;
- Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful;
- Seek ways to improve business operations efficiencies and customer service.
Primary Duties:
1. Ensure maximum production, customer service and profitability.
- Achieve or exceed group standards such as service, gross profit and applicable benchmarks which result in profitability and customer service satisfaction.
- Effectively oversee automobile inspections and estimates to ensure accurate cost analysis.
- Develop productive relationships with insurance representatives, fleet, local businesses and general customers to create and sustain volume for production.
- Effectively communicate with vendors, customers and team members regarding Collision Center Department requirements and time commitments in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate with appropriate personnel regarding any issue which may cause a delay.
- Oversee and manage the production and direction of the Collision Center Department.
- Budget, review and approve all controllable expense factors.
- Monitor all adjustments on body and paint estimates.
- Approve all requisitions for materials and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times and adhere to all OSHA/EPA requirements.
- Perform all job duties requested from management.
2. Develop employees.
- Effectively recruit, hire, train and manage qualified team members.
- Maintain accurate job descriptions and communicate expectations with employees.
- Be supportive, provide open work atmosphere that promotes teamwork and creativity.
- Communicate and enforce dealership policies and procedures.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations of staff.
3. Operate with integrity:

- Resolve customer complaints and adjustments.
Qualifications Job Qualifications: - 5+ years progressive experience in collision center or automotive service.
- Management experience required.
- ICAR Certified within one year of employment
- Proven track record of reducing costs through processes and efficiencies
- Experience in collision repair, estimating, and insurance.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Hands-on, team oriented and committed to business improvement processes
- Strong problem solving capabilities
- Strong management skills
- Risk assessment capability of product, processes and suppliers
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient knowledge of Larry H. Miller Group's current company management systems.
- Maintain valid driver's license and MVR within company policy requirements.
Physical Requirements: - Work performed in an office and shop settings due to location of customer vehicles. li
Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes, chemicals and adhesives. * Occasionally required to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions precedent at that time.
- Required vision include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Required to operate equipment and move vehicles in a safe manner at all times.
