Title Associate Manager, Patient Support Program Insight and Reporting

Job Description Purpose Assesses cost and operational performance related to all patient support programs across BioPharm, Diabetes and Obesity business areas. Develops and reports insightful metrics to relevant groups contributing to patient support programs. Identifies opportunities to alter/develop patient support strategies to optimize organizational approach to affordability, financial and product assistance for patients. Responsible for development and maintenance of strategy lessons and best-practices. Provides analytic guidance on patient support program contracting, spend and performance metrics. Collaborates with Commercial Effectiveness, Managed Markets, and Marketing to identify market and customer scenarios expected to have a high impact on Novo Nordisk Inc (NNI) business. Partners in developing analytical models to help make business critical decisions.
Relationships
Reports to the Director, Patient Support Programs (PSP). Works closely with Finance, Customer Call Center, Commercial Effectiveness, Procurement, Managed Markets, IT, Trade, Product Safety and Compliance. External relationships include affordability and reimbursement assistance program vendors. Presents analysis and dashboards to colleagues and senior management to share results, and improve marketing reach to appropriate target audience.
Essential Functions Analysis & Insights: Collaborate with Commercial Effectiveness, Patient Support Program colleagues, Market Access Teams and Finance to identify market and customer scenarios expected to have a high impact on NNI business. Data mining for identification of unexploited areas of opportunity to execute on NNI Patient Support Programs. Develop business cases with concise and complete story-lines to communicate and secure buy-in on recommendations. Integrate relevant unstructured and structured data to support the development of analytical models. Measure impact of implemented patient support programs. Partners in developing analytical models to help make business critical decisions. Scan the market to understand key trends impacting markets and organized customers.
Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Provide proactive performance reviews related to patient financial and reimbursement assistance.
Audit and Analysis: Investigate spend and performance in collaboration with Procurement and Compliance to ensure compliant execution of Patient Support Programs.
Planning Process Support: Collaborate with Multi-Channel Marketing, Brand teams, Commercial Effectiveness to create the process for strategy development. Own the annual situation analysis for Patient Support Programs.
Support Building of Department: Actively participates in and may lead build out of technical and functional team capabilities.
Physical Requirements 10-20% overnight travel required.
Qualifications - Bacheloregree from and accredited institution or equivalent is required. Masters preferred. Finance, Business, Statistics, Engineering or related quantitative field preferred
- 2+ years of analytics/research experience. Experience with an MBA/Masters can be considered. 4 years preferred. 3+ years of relevant consulting experience can be substituted as deemed appropriate
- Analytical and/or technical proficiency at analyzing large data sets to derive insights
- Able to operate in a fast-paced environment with a quality control focus and a documentation orientation
- Creative problem-solving with ability to solve complex unstructured problems, and see opportunities through
- Experience analyzing pharmaceutical data is required with visualization tools preferred
- Project Management and Quantitative analysis skills
- Statistical programming experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
