Job Description The Customer Account Manager (CAM) for the CRM team drives sales engagements from start to finish and leverages necessary resources from Sales, Product Management, Product Marketing, Professional Services, or Strategic Business Partners. The position requires significant time working closely with Sage Field Sales Engineers, Sage Professional Services, along with key partner resellers. This is a national sales role tasked with growing Sage's net revenue for CRM sales in the midmarket space. Sales cycles are between 60-120 days. The candidate must possess strong business acumen, business savvy, and the ability to confidently present material through virtual platforms. They should also possess familiarity with structured sales dialogue and assisting with scoping and managing complex sales projects. Due to the fact that transitioning clients to a full Customer Engagement solution with potential integration from a more simplistic management system, this business professional must possess the ability to assist the customer in uncovering hidden challenges, hidden costs, and quantify their investment with verifiable and relevant data points that may elude a novice sales professional/business consultant.
Key Responsibilities ives sales revenue by proactive prospecting, building relationships with key stakeholders within their assigned accounts/territory; penetrating the account at all levels and all subsidiaries. Becomes a trusted advisor in the overall CRM practice.
- Uses formal business discovery/analysis methodology to uncover business needs, quantify process costs, develop compelling ttensiness cases and deliver a formal business proposal.
- Gather technical requirements and work collaboratively with Sage Professional Services to draft comprehensive SOW (statement of work) as well as the MSA (master service agreement) when needed
- Manage customer expectations through effective project scoping, project management, concise communications.
- Manages revenue quota by overseeing multiple customer opportunities, oversees sales engagements process end to end, and provides assistance and support.
- Displays executive maturity as well as business planning expertise, market analysis and sales expertise.
- Stays in complete engagement with the account during the sales cycle while bringing in additional necessary resources from the Sales, Product, Professional Services, or strategic Business Partner.
- Provides timely and accurate forecasting to frontline Management and Senior Leadership along with maintaining prudent expense budget practices.
- Develops a deep understanding of the product offerings, customer needs and competitive landscape and value proposition of Sage offerings.
- Develops and maintains Trusted Advisor status within the Customer and Partner Communities.
- Communicates with key customers, business partners and Leadership as to significant issues and accomplishments.
- Protects company proprietary and confidential information
Qualifications Qualifications - Bachelor's degree preferred with 7+years of successful, quota carrying, B2B sales experience required. Progressive and innovative in sales strategy and behaviors and possesses the ability to cute business plan.
- Working knowledge of Sage CRM, Salesforce, Sugar CRM and/or other comparable competitive solutions
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, time management skills and an unwavering commitment to integrity and professionalism.
- Demonstrated ability to excel within a cross-functional team environment to accurately manage and forecast sales activity.
- Self-starter and strong closer with multitasking ability.
- Excellent negotiation, closing skills and strong understanding of customer requirements.
