We are seeking a Nursing Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team.
The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner employed at DMHC will be involved in all phases of patient care ranging from newborn well-child checks to end-of-life issues. The PA or NP will attend to clinic, ER, and hospital patients as well as nursing home residents. The PA or NP will coordinate exams and studies with lab, radiology, and therapy departments, as well as refer patients to specialists to coordinate care outside our scope of practice and follow up. The PA or NP rotates on-call time for ER and hospital coverage. The PA or NP will use Cerner EMR to complete tasks of ordering, documentation, ePrescribing, as well as other duties daily for patient care records.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
- Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program
- Current National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) Board Certification/License as Physician Assistant
- Approved to practice as a physician assistant in Montana by Board of Medical Examiners
- Healthcare Provider CPR Certification; additional CPR certifications may be required depending on the patient population and/or service area
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR NURSE PRACTITIONER
- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program
- Current Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Association (ANA) - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner with a current Montana and/or Wyoming Board of Nursing License as an advance practice nurse
- Current Montana license as a Registered Nurse as appropriate to service area
