NIELSEN SPORTS: Associate Account Manager, Leagues
Nielsen Entertainment is looking for a talented Associate Account Manager to support its Professional Sports Leagues vertical. Leagues include the NFL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR, NHL, MLS and NCAA. The Associate Account Manager will be based at the Manhattan offices of Nielsen Sports and work on media measurement and evaluation reporting, Scarborough, Custom Research and Ad Expenditure initiatives. Nielsen Entertainmentission is to understand the fan, leveraging this understanding of fans as consumers, to benefit our clients. We achieve this through the latest data, tools and techniques throughout the whole of Nielsen and partnering outside of the business when necessary.
Within the sports group, this position will provide support for proposal creation and the delivery of ongoing insights to clients within the Leagues vertical. Our involvement with clients spans their entire business, from fan development, media rights support, sponsorship sales and service support and measuring the impact of their marketing activations, among other areas. Our clientseds are both domestic and global and this position will be providing insight in whichever market our clients has a research need. To serve clients we leverage the entire suite of Nielsen solutions.
Key Responsibilities of Associate Account Manager
- Analyze and prepare reports, using syndicated Nielsen solutions and custom research. These reports include both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Work closely with internal Nielsen teams to gather relevant data and insights that allows clients to be advocates for our work.
- Provide data and insights using NielsenV Measurement software; including NNTV, Arianna and NPower.
- Provide data and insights using Nielsend Intelligence software; covering advertising expenditures, across TV, Print, Audio, Digital and Outdoor.
- Support the implementation of Media Evaluation projects and provide Quality Assurance via detailed review and analysis.
- Provide data and insights using the Nielsen Sportsite of solutions.
- Use our unique data and various presentation tools to tell a compelling and clear story to support presentations.
- Take responsibility of projects suring the completeness and accuracy of data and deliverables
- Use your expertise of the client, industry and data to initiate additional analyses, potentially including other available data sources or new data collection methods, as appropriate, to address client business
- issues and showcase other Nielsen capabilities
- Work in close coordination with Entertainment and Sports Team to ensure that all client objectives are met.
- Assist the client services on all sales opportunities
- Work with communications/marketing team for Nielsen editorials & wire posts as needed
Qualifications of Nielsen Sports, Associate Account Manager, Leagues
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Marketing, Market Research, or related field
- 1-2+ years experience in Media Research, Marketing and Advertising
- Effective organizational skills providing the ability to identify priorities and meet all deadlines assigned
- Ability to both manage multiple projects with an heavy attention to detail
- Strong quantitative, data tabulation and analytic skills
- Ability to independently analyze data, draw conclusions and provide recommendations and insights
- Possess a natural curiosity; be an independent thinker
- A genuine understanding of the entertainment and sports industry
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to bring about client solutions
- Effectively communicate with clients in verbal and written form
- Self-starter who has a strong drive to exceed expectations
- Strong interpersonal skills; adept at interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in the Microsoft Suite of products, specifically Excel (pivot tables, functions, formulas, charts,
- graphs) and PowerPoint
- Flexibility to work late evenings and sporadic weekends.
