PURPOSE OF ROLE: The primary purpose of this role is to prioritize, implement, and manage process improvement and new capability initiatives that enable the LGS & QA organization to achieve strategic objectives. This includes responsibility for integrating international processes and system requirements from program inception and integration with international import partners through introduction, product life cycle support, after sales service support, and product phase out.
RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENTS:
- Manages LGS&QA initiative portfolio and is responsible for the initiation, coordination, and/or leading efforts to evaluate and facilitate initiatives across business areas that impact International Merchandising, Global Sourcing, International Sourcing Development, Product Development, Private Brands, Creative Services, and Quality Assurance
- Guides team in the assessment, identification, and development of existing and new processes for LGS & QA
- Identifies and manages the development of databases, metrics, reporting, and analytical tools for effective management of LGS & QA
- Communicates results that support LGS&QA through new capabilities for International Merchandising, Global Sourcing, International Sourcing Development, Product Development, Private Brands, Creative Services, and Quality Assurance
- Oversees projects with Lowe ' s IT, Corporate Training, Legal, and other support areas to identify needs and coordinate development of solutions to strengthen LGS&QA operations
- Reviews business practices, processes and/or systems, providing detailed fact based analysis of the current state, developing alternative future-state processes, and building business cases for implementation of the proposed change
- Supports the team in working with Lowe ' s cross-functional support areas to develop capabilities to support future state strategy
- Support and lead Allied Business Unit integration activities as necessary
- Leads the development of required support models for new or expanded LGS & QA capabilities to drive alignment and value to Enterprise BUs
- Coordinates with the business team to deliver internal and external training for import systems and processes
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree- Business, International Development, Operations, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in process/program management, process development/optimization, international product development, or sourcing
PREFERRED: - Master's Degree- Business, International Development, Operations, or related field
- Experience with TradeStone software
