SUMMARY Reporting to the Operations Managers, this position will be responsible for managing a 2nd or 3rd shift production operation in our household manufacturing plant. Products produced in this plant include brand names such as Lysol, Old English, Woolite, Resolve, Jet Dry, Finish, and etc. This position is key to the plant's successful achievement of Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost objectives while developing a highly engaged workforce. The TRM is responsible for managing approximately 75-100 hourly team members on assigned shift.
POSITION DUTIES: - Insures adherence to Plant Quality System and knowledgeable about plant's ISO-9002 and GMP directives
- Works with hourly Team Leaders and team members in developing/guiding day-to-day operation of high performing self-Managed work teams.
- Performs functions inherent in all management positions including performance evaluation, training & development, coaching, feedback and corrective action as needed for an hourly workforce.
- Complies with all appropriate regulatory agencies, regulations, rules, policies and procedures (i.e. Federal, State, Corporate, Plant - EEOC, OSHA, EPA, FDA, GMP, etc.)
- Champions the development/compliance of Plant safety & housekeeping programs and practices.
- Supports development and implementation of Continuous Improvement/Lean processes and projects within the Packaging operations resulting in annual Squeeze/X-Trim and other cost savings. Also supports/manages NPD/EPD activity within respective areas.
- Insures customer service expectations are met through timely production of quality products
- Reviews daily operating results and monitors trends in labor usage, line downtime, quality rejects, etc.
- Prepares annual budget requests and manages spending under approved FOH & VOH budgets.
- Demonstrates RB values & leadership charter as well as functional competencies.
BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Management required (Master's a plus)
Minimum of 1-3 years of progressive assignments in Consumer Products, Pharmaceutical, or Food manufacturing environment
Multi-disciplined, i.e. experience in managing others as well as functional expertise
Experience with standardized systems such as ISO 9001, 18001, 14001, etc.
Effective team development skills
Solid knowledge of applicable safety rules & regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem solving, decision making and computer proficiency in Microsoft office products
