Facebook is looking for a Consumer Communications Manager to create and drive strategic public relations campaigns that support a variety of products our business platform. The successful candidate will have advertising and e-commerce experience and a track record of successfully creating news moments around product launches and proactive moments. This person should have strong contacts with consumer, lifestyle, and tech press. Strategic, flexible, proactive, and resourceful communicators who are able to manage multiple projects simultaneously will be successful in this role.
The position is located at our headquarters in Menlo Park, California.
Responsibilities Creative storytelling: Work closely with various Facebook teams and external PR agencies to develop proactive and reactive communications campaigns that support product and marketing goals
Media relations: Build relationships and engage with press, bloggers, and influencers from a range of outlets such as consumer, business, advertising trade, tech and more
Team player: Work as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Communications or English
8+ years work experience in communications and/or journalism
Experience working with consumer, technology, and advertising media
Experience with product launches and strategic communications initiatives
