Job Description Section:
The Information Services Custody Product Development team focuses on developing custody products for the Direct Custody and Clearing (DCC) and Global Custody (GC) business lines. DCC provides clearing, settlement, custody & asset servicing to global financial institutions through a proprietary branch network spanning Asia, EMEA and the Americas. GC provides settlement, custody and asset servicing solutions to investor clients through a global network of sub custodians.
The team is seeking a Product Manager who will focus on the continued development of the Order & Trade Manager product and the continued strategy of the Custody suite of client-facing products and data.
As Information Services Product Manager, you will interact with Product, Operations, Client Executives and Client Service colleagues in regards to CIS, E2C and Funds businesses as well as strategic initiatives such as the OneCustody and Clarity programs to determine product enhancements to the client facing applications and benefits to the clients. You will also interface with Information Services Technology in ensuring that your Product Roadmap is defined and prioritized in the development lifecycle release schedule.
Key Responsibilities: - Agree product development priorities with business owners
Understand, communicate and implement global product strategies
Help define new product scope
Work closely with product, operations and technology colleagues to create/review detailed requirements
Ensure products developed and implemented in line with business requirements and according to plan
Understand the full end-to-end data flow including delivery to the client
Work with other internal partners (risk, legal, compliance etc.) to ensure all new product developments meet internal business approval requirements
Act as senior point of escalation for the Order & Trade Manager product for queries and/or escalated issues
Keep abreast of client needs working closely with clients, product and coverage organizations
The role will involve obtaining a detailed understanding of the Order & Trade Manager product including backend system data flows. The role will also involve understanding both the inbound and outbound flows of data from Citi to clients. Working alongside colleagues from Operations and Product understand how requests benefit and fulfill client demand and requirements. In addition candidates will develop a strong understanding of risk and legal implications of relevant product developments to ensure that such risks can be quantified and mitigated where possible.
Qualifications Bachelor or Master Degree in Business, Finance or other related fields preferred although not essential
Strong overall securities services background (e.g. Custody & Fund Services, Clearing, etc.)
Product Management of client-facing products and/or services in the financial services industry
Background in operational processes, technology platforms and front office activities is beneficial
Proven management and implementation of projects
Good inter-personal and verbal/written communications skills
Both a strong team player and a self-starter
Ability to analyse issues/risks by using creative and resourceful problem solving techniques
Strong influencing skills and ability to interact with various levels of management
