PeaceHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse - Family Practice (Part-Time) for a 0.5 full time equivalent Non-Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours.

Medical Assistant: In collaboration with the healthcare team, assists physicians/providers in the delivery of patient care working within the scope of practice for a Medical Assistant.
LPN: Responsible for ensuring delivery of quality nursing care to clinic patients as directed by clinicealthcare providers. The LPN Clinic, Outpatient functions as a care member of the interdisciplinary care team and fulfills/shares the roles and responsibilities of rooming nurse, and clinical support nurse in the ambulatory patient care setting. Facilitates integrated care delivery across selected populations to improve clinical and financial outcomes, through the implementation of care coordination. Under the guidance of an RN, implements patient-specific interventions through a variety of program delivery methods and implements plans of care addressing a wide scope of health care needs in partnership with the multidisciplinary care team.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Medical Assistant
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program is required. An approved educational program/course of study that allows caregivers to sit for the MOA certification exam will be considered (e.g. Associateegree in Allied Health).
LPN
- Graduate of an accredited State Board of Nursing LPN program required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire.
Medical Assistant
- Must have current Medical National certification or be a National Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) at date of hire. When referring to the National Certification requirements, the following are acceptable in meeting that requirement:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Clinical Medical Assistant certification through the National Health Career Associates (NHA)
- National Certified Medical Assistant through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- If uncertified, must have at least one year of experience as a clinical medical assistant that qualifies applicant to take the national certification exam and must obtain national certification by date of hire.
LPN
- Current LPN license in Oregon
