About the role Will provide support and set-up for the new elipse group business. Including setting up operational and reporting requirements for Swiss Re.
This roll is for one year and then the position will roll into iptiQ finance department.
Operational:
Setting up Oracle general ledger, interfaces with TPA's (third party administrators), coordinating journal entries with group services including investments, payroll, actuarial, accounts payable etc.
Reporting:
- Assist in the production of the Swiss Re management reports which include US GAAP, US Statutory (blue book), Swiss Statutory and EVM.
- Help with plan/forecast
- Help with Premium tax reporting
- Help with reinsurance reporting
- Interface with treasury and parent company

About You - Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance
- CPA is preferred but not required
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance products is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Stat and GAAP
- Strong technical PC skills, including Word, Excel (Pivot tables), Power Point
- Knowledge of Oracle general ledger, WINGS, and Business Objects is a plus
- Proven organizational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities
- The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong sense of personal integrity
- Must be a team player and a team builder
