MUST HAVE 5 YEARS ACUTE CARE NURSING EXPERIENCE, LTC CARE MANAGER/NURSING EXPERIENCE DOES NOT COUNT. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT IF THEY DO NOT HAVE 5 YEARS OF ACUTE CARE NURSING EXPERIENCE. Responsible for review and completion of denial/appeal requests and stays current with Federal and State regulations regarding medical necessity for inpatient and observation hospitalizations. Knowledge and experience with Utilization Review and MCG required. Minimum of 5 years acute care nursing required. Bachelors degree in nursing required. re Management certification or specialty nursing area preferred. censure to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Dakota required. Epic experience preferred.
