Seeking an experienced DevOps engineer with knowledge of both release engineering and configuration management. Candidate will work on a small team and collaborate with the development teams to improve existing processes with automation and industry best practices for continuous integration. The ideal candidate will have a BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 4+ years of experience in DevOps.
Required Skills: - Strong scripting for example PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Bash, Java Script, Gradle
- Configuration Management tools (For example Puppet/Chef/Nagios)
- Source control (git/Gitolite)
- Linux System Administration
- Strong communication skills are required to be able to articulate complex solutions back to customers as part of collaborative efforts
- Continuous Integrations tools experience (Jenkins)
- Must be detail oriented and provide high quality of deliverables
- Organization and leadership skills are required to setup and lead cross team meeting to identify, understand, and solve business challenges related to the customeruild environment
Desired Skills: - Work experience with software development ALM tools (For example Atlassian, TFS)
- Knowledge about Dell enterprise infrastructure a plus (switches, rack/blade servers/EqualLogic iSCSI, etc) vSphere 5.x, ESXi, Network administration, Web Services Tools and Frameworks
- Detail oriented, responsible for solving highly technical and complex problems for several programs and projects running simultaneously. Demonstrate strong drive for results
- Ability to provide accurate development estimates for use in scheduling and planning. Goal is to achieve a minimum of 95% on time delivery on commitments
- Embedded Linux Image build experience (For example OBS/Yocto)
- Experience building Java based applications
- Utilization of Docker containers
- Managing package repositories such as Artifactory, NPM, Pypi
