- Synchronize SW releases of various powertrain components such as engine, transmission, etc.
- Create software roll-out plan to support the production at the plant according to Mercedes-Benz Dev. System (MDS). This plan is to include SW release deadlines to meet data freeze timing.
- Coordinate software development and release by relevant suppliers to meet the master schedule.
- Plan and track software releases cost of development and implementation.
Release and documentation:
- Coordinate the change management effort including the utilization of NCM, ACM and Dialog.
- Document part number changes in Product Documentation System for Electrical/Electronic Components (EPDM).
- Document changes to project decisions and Type Approval Numbers (EROTAN) in Dialog and DITA-Databank.
- Monitor and document software changes to Series-production Configuration.
