Desktop Application Compatibility / BDA Engineer

Desktop Application Compatibility / BDA Resource:
- Timeframe (6 month duration starting February 2018)
- Engage with our client to:
- Provide strategy, guidance and leadership around Business Developed Applications (BDAs) based on Microsoft technology (Excel and Access).
- Update Analytics / Windows Readiness (deployment, setup, implementation)
- Application Compatibility Tools (per the list below provided, not in priority order)
- Upgrade Readiness / Upgrade Analytics
- Office Telemetry
- Least User Access (LUA BugLight)
- Standard User Analyzer (SUA)
- Office Readiness Toolkit (ORT)
- Windows Application Compatibility Toolkit (WACK)
- Application Health Analyzer
- Desktop App Converter* (nice to have)
- Document usage / tool guidance and best practices (when, how and why scenarios).
- Provide strategy, guidance and leadership around Application Compatibility Strategies as outlined in the Windows 10 Enterprise Application Compatibility Workshop. Help client leverage the Risk Based Compatibility model and put into practice as part of Windows migration.
- Experience / familiarity with the following App Compat tools and assisting customers migrating from Windows 7 to Windows 10:
- Office Telemetry
- Upgrade Readiness / Upgrade Analytics
- Least User Access (LUA BugLight)
- Standard User Analyzer (SUA)
- Office Readiness Toolkit (ORT)
- Windows Application Compatibility Toolkit (WACK)
- Application Health Analyzer
- Desktop App Converter* (nice to have)
- Consult with users on remediation tactics (as part of the Microsoft CoE), troubleshoot and remediate Microsoft BDA's (Excel, Access, VBA, Macros and Add-ins).
