Description: - Self-starter with strong communication skills. CAN / LIN ing experience, with the ability to analyze CAN and LIN bus data.Good understanding of microprocessor based electronics and electronic circuits. Good analytical problem solving skills. Background in DFSS and DOORS a plus. The Uconnect Integration Engineer (similar to EE Systems Validation Engineer position with focus on Uconnect systems & components) is responsible for integration functions including triage of and trouble-shooting of vehicle issues related to Uconnect, assembly plant FTC (First Time Capability) of Uconnect systems on prototype and production builds, NAFTA region vehicle validation of Uconnect systems, and support of vehicle program reporting on Uconnect issues. The scope of systems involvement includes audio systems (antenna, amplifier, speakers), radio/navigation/telematics, and consumer devices.
- The Uconnect Product Integration Engineer will work with vehicle program / product development teams to facilitate Uconnect issue resolution and ensure high-quality validation of Uconnect systems
Requirements: - Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree required (Must be from an ABET accredited institution) or equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of experience/training in Automotive engineering.Extensive knowledge of CAN Diagnostic Tools and Simulation Equipment. Capable of developing requirements based test plans for electrical systems. Capable of performing vehicle and system level validation. Experience with CANoe and/or other Diagnostic Equipment. Experience with DFMEA and DVP&R processes. Extensive experience in high-speed digital and logic design.
- Proficient in all aspects of project development from vision and scope through all phases of design, development, implementation, deployment and project exit.
- Will be required to travel domestically and internationally 20%
- Will by required to drive a company car. Valid drivers license is required as well as a clean driving record
