Assistant Construction Project Manager will assist the Construction Project Manager, Engineering Manager, and Site Manager with day to day management of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontracts, suppliers, procurement, proposals, estimates, documentation, turnover, client interface, field-based activities, and other duties required to execute EPC, construction management, and program management.
Assist with negotiating, approving and executing multiple type of prime contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders with suppliers, and change orders.
Assist with developing and implementation of project execution plans and requirements.
Coordinate potential bidders for contracting construction work, issuing bid documents, bid walks, meeting, registration and prequalification subcontractor.
Schedule and coordinates activities of several disciplines on a project of moderate scope or a combination of smaller projects.
Direct coordination with superintendents and site manager to verify compliance of subcontractors with contract documents, safety and health requirements, quality, and schedule.
Facilitate and execute contract administration responsibility for RFIs, submittals, change management and claim mitigation.
Assist in project reporting status, risks, schedule and cost.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited curriculum.
Minimum 5 years related experience in construction, construction management, or program management.
Must have ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government and public contracts on project-related matters.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
Candidate must be proficient with operating computer software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access), document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.
