Position Description Develop the services to power Search and Browse for Walmart Canada. Enable a high performance, high transaction system orchestrating across several backend systems to present highly relevant and personalized results.
Minimum Qualifications - BS Computer Science with 6-10 years of experience
- Strong development experience with the Java stack including Spring
- Strong development experience with HTTP/RESTful APIs, Microservices, JAX-RS
- Experience working with NoSQL technologies like Cassandra, Solr, and Apache Kafka
- Experience with Apache Spark, Scala, and Akka a plus
Additional Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge or willingness to learn Big Data / Machine Learning and NLP technologies including Hadoop, Hive, and Spark
- Knowledge and experience of continuous delivery, including automated testing of various layers etc.
- Cloud deployment and configuration experience preferred
