The Role: As an Applications Engineer Intern, youconduct pre-sales feasibility studies at our Technical Evaluation Center in Brentwood, TN. Your experience will allow you to determine the right combination of Cognex vision or ID hardware, lighting, optics and programming that demonstrates an optimum solution to the industryost difficult challenges.
Essential Functions: - Use CRM (SalesBook) for all aspects of the sales support process
- Timely and efficient completion of pre-sales evaluations: Gather specifications/samples, determine optimal hardware and software configuration, test/verify solution.
- Serve as Cognex product expert. Respond to technical questions from customers and salespeople.
- Provide product feedback to AE Manager and Business Units
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Strong presentation, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Sensitive to sales cycle and able to handle challenging customer situations.
- PC literate with a working knowledge of MS Windows applications.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment.
- Passionate about learning and working with industrial automation
Minimum education and work experience required:
- Enrolled in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering BS program.
- .NET (C#) programming experience is desired.
