The applicant will participate in the design, implementation, integration and test of software applications in a C#/.Net development environment as part of an Agile scrum team. Responsibilities include software design, code development, unit test, and integration with target hardware platforms for our end-customer markets. This position is located in Madison, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities: Specific Duties include but are not limited to:
- Participate in all phases of software development including design, implementation, testing, integration and maintenance for our company's scientific instruments with guidance from senior developers.
- Work with scrum team to translate user stories into technical tasks for new product designs.
- Leverage the latest technologies for GUI design to create, and develop user-centric UX/UI for multiple computer platforms, desktop and mobile.
- Collaborate with scrum team to ensure on-time delivery of quality products.
- Adapt implementation in response to peer review and maintain accurate technical documentation.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software, Computer Systems Engineering or related field required or 6 years design experience in lieu of degree.
- Internship experience in related field is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with Microsoft development environments including C# and .NET Framework or equivalent object-oriented environment.
- Basic knowledge of good software development practices (Data Structures, Algorithms and Object Oriented Principles).
- Familiarity with Agile software development concepts and tools such as JIRA is a plus.
- Desire and ability to work in a software scrum team that is part of a multi-disciplinary development effort.
- Highly motivated team player and with a strong desire for continuous learning and broadening knowledge base.
